When Dani asked if I would be willing to share about my experience with her practice I jumped at the opportunity. 3 years ago I was dealing with a health crisis. I had moved to a new city and hadn’t found a healthcare practitioner. I knew I wasn’t feeling well but quite honestly I attributed it to menopause, lack of sleep and dating a musician. I traveled to visit my daughter overseas for Christmas and the travel seemed particularly grueling. In the back of my mind I thought this might be the last time I would see her. My daughter confirmed my worries when the first words out of her mouth were “oh my God mom what is wrong with you, you look like you’ve had a stroke!” I tried to reassure her that I was fine, but knew I had to find out what was wrong when I got back to the United States. I found out that Dani Williamson was an NP who specialized in thyroid issues, but at the time the practice she was affiliated with had a nine month wait. I had bloodwork drawn at an unaffiliated practice, and when I saw that my TSH was at 126 (normal is in the 0-5 range), I dropped off my results – just in case I could push up the nine month waiting list for a new patient Appt.
Dani is one of the most down to earth, compassionate person I have ever met. When my results crossed her desk she had me called with an appointment in her office the next day. My body was shutting down. She offered immediate guidance on how to recover my health, a plan which was comprised of appropriate medication, supplements and diet advice. My road to recovery happened so quickly once all the pieces where in place. I ran a 5k race within 8 months of my Hashimoto’s crisis, when prior to diagnosis and treatment I could hardly get out of bed.
Dani offers ongoing support and learning opportunities with a continued focus on community as a critical component to our collective health journeys. She is truly a light in the healthcare field! I recommend her wholeheartedly and know there are many lives she will continue to influence with her knowledge and willingness to share it.

“I was 24, newly married, had a great job and a very good life. For some reason, I wasn’t sleeping, having hot flashes and anxiety. Strong anxiety that made it hard to get through the day. I went to a traditional PCP doctor. They prescribed an SSRI and sent me on my way. No mention of diet, thyroid or hormones. SSRI’S were terrible for me and they didn’t solve the issue. I became depressed thinking that this was going to be the rest of my life. Through a friend, I heard of Dani Williamson. I called the office at the time crying and they worked me in. Dani checked my hormones and come to find out I wasn’t creating as much progesterone as my body needs. She put me on a bio-identical hormone and I slept through the night and no more hot flashes. I have been a patient of hers for almost 4 years and over time she has worked with me and educated me on overall health. I now have a healthy thyroid and a great diet. I now have tools to help me feel well if something is not balanced. I love that she educates you on what your body needs to be healthy instead of just pushing pills. I have adopted her excitement for Natural Health and I believe it changes people’s lives. Through her practice, I know mine has been changed!”

“My 15-year-old daughter suffered with chronic hives, lack of a menstrual cycle (after having her first at 13), hypothyroidism, hashimoto’s and 20 lb weight gain in nine months. Over the past three years we have visited six physicians and prescribed several drugs, none of which were improving her condition. She was not the same daughter I knew before puberty. Mother’s instinct told me that she needed healing from the inside and drugs were not going to help her. It has been a long journey, but God placed me in the path of Dani and she is on her way to healing. She is happy again, is awake more than sleep, no incident of hives and is slowly losing the weight (which is the important part for a 15 year old) and her grades are improving. Thank you Dani for helping us understand her food intolerances (egg and dairy the main culprits), introducing our family to The Virgin Diet and placing us on the path to healing. My daughter knows the journey is not short and not easy, but the benefits far outweigh the fact that she cannot have cheese pizza!”

“About a year ago my health began to decline. My glands were swollen, my GI tract was acting up, my eyes looked jaundice and I was exhausted. I was new to Tennessee, so finding a primary care doctor that had an open mind and was accepting new patients wasn’t easy. I found a practice with the right philosophy, but couldn’t get an appointment for 9 months. I really wasn’t feeling well so I went to a Vanderbilt clinic thinking I might have mono or strep but both were negative. I took a trip overseas to visit my daughter at Christmas, and when she saw me she was extremely concerned. She thought I looked like I had had a stroke. I brushed her concern off so as not to worry her, but I thought it might be the last time I would see her. I was feeling progressively worse, and kept calling the doctor’s office to see if I could get seen early. I was referred to another practice where blood was drawn and tests run. My TSH was 126 and other functions were off as well. The doctor prescribed 15mg of thyroid medicine and that was all. I brought my lab results to Dani’s office and Dani didn’t believe them. She didn’t know how I could get out of bed. She then booked me an appointment the next day, and immediately upped my thyroid medication, added supplements to cool the thyroid and then prime it and insisted I go gluten-free as a Hashimoto’s case. My road to health began because by the grace of God I became Dani’s patient. Her amazing level of genuine care combined with her deep knowledge of what combination of things could bring my health back has been more than I could have hoped for. I recently ran the Franklin 5k Road Race in under 40 minutes, so believe me; you too can feel better and accomplish what you never thought possible. Heartfelt gratitude to Dani for putting a practice together for those of us who are navigating health issues that need that extra level of compassion and expertise.”

“When I first saw Dani, I had been offered anti-depressants, birth control pills, and innumerable comments that I was “just getting older” by other medical personnel over the course of three years. After only two months, Dani had a more concrete understanding of what was going on in my body and I was on a treatment path that offered immediate results. Much of what she initially told me was way too much to take in, and I found myself doing “just the tip of the iceberg” that first two years. After getting much worse in some ways because of not following her advice, I finally yielded to her expertise and found myself on a healing journey that really cannot be explained. When people ask me about how hard it must be to have given up so much, I respond that I have given up supra-ventricular tachycardia, passing out, recurrent vertigo, a lack of energy, difficulty waking up in the morning, severe sugar cravings, hair loss, bloating, fatigue… well, you get the idea. The things that Dani has given me in return are hope, energy, joy, and health, and as a mother of three children, that is a priceless gift!”

“I had been suffering from achy body, fatigue, sore throats every night, stiffness, tingling in arms back & neck, depression, major constipation, indigestion, difficulty concentrating, shortness of breath, short-term memory loss, zero libido, weight gain and I spent most of the day in bed.
My family practitioner, (of 18 years) had no answer for my conditions, suggested that I “make better choices”. He checked my thyroid (family hereditary thyroid issues), and assured me that mine was fine. After Dani’s diagnosis, I learned that hypo-thyroid was not my only issue, but I have MTHFR, Hashimotos autoimmune disease, and leaky gut. She also informed me that many, if not all of my blood levels and hormones were far from normal. I have been under Dani’s care for 12 months. Most of my symptoms are greatly reduced, or completely gone. Now my blood and hormone levels are; ”beautiful” says Dani. My weight has reduced by over 30 lbs. I do not feel like the same person I was a year ago. My future looks bright and thanks to Dani’s passion, knowledge, and care, I can proudly say, I’m getting my sparkle back!”
