Toxic mother’s and caring for them as adult children is never easy. My journey with my mother’s Alzheimer’s Disease and ultimate death was not easy. She was a classic absent, self centered, non-involved, critical, aloof, distant mother. I could never please her and was NEVER good enough in anything I did. This is part 1 of my journey caring for her the past four years until her death. It wasn’t easy, pretty or fun most of the time. Many of us have mothers that never mothered us as children or adults. Is it our responsibility to care for them as they age? Share your comments below. And remember: YOU MAY HAVE BEEN UNMOTHERED…but YOU ARE NOT BROKEN!!
